The murky, black water spans as far as you can see. The air is tainted with the scent of salt water. Still you remain, perplexed by the foggy beauty of your surroundings. You risk putting your feet in the water, despite the fact that the water is home to a hoard of creatures. The cool water entices you into wanting to take a dive.

She blunk before turning her head and registering the question. "Oh? Just... thinking, I suppose. Nothing in particular... I'm Maeva?" She clasped her hands in front of her, then behind, then crossed her arms, before coming full circle.

She smiled, "My brother probably would, but he's rather easy to ignore." Then she laughed, turning to look at Charlotte and not the lake for a moment, "The funny thing is, is that I don't really know how write. Besides my name, of course."
"I didn't know how to write much beyond that when I first arrived, either," she said. "But I hated using those Quick Quotes Quill things for writing essays, so I got an older student to teach me two years ago. I could teach you, too, if you like!"

Maeva decided she liked talking to Charlotte, "That would be wonderful." She thought for a moment, then asked, "What house are you in?"
"Of course you can!" she said excitedly. "Did you want to go now? Or..." she shook her head. "You were probably out here for a reason. I wouldn't want to disturb you."

Maeva grinned, "I usually walk around the grounds for no particular reason. It wouldn't be a bother at all." She started to walk towards the castle, looking back at Charlotte as if to ask, Are you coming?
