Bradley Chamberlain is a second year Gryffindor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Bradley is very tall for his age, and more mature-looking overall. His shaggy hair is the same colour as his dark brown eyes, and his skin is fairer than his siblings. Being a swordsman, he's very strong, and he's slowly transitioning from his former lanky appearance to a new sturdier, stronger one.
The thing with Bradley is, with his permanent little smirk and the mischievous glint in his eye, you can never quite tell whether he's taking the piss or not, unless he purposefully makes it obvious. He's well known amongst his house for being relentlessly sarcastic, and sometimes he's too smart for his own good, but his excuse is that sarcasm may be the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence, and he knows he's smart. Bradley is easily one of the smartest students in his year, excelling particularly in Potions and Swordplay, and although he may brag about it from time to time (he is prone to arrogance now and again), he tries not to, since it's common knowledge already.
He's the one who constantly gets into trouble, and is loved by some of the professors and hated by the others. It's not his fault that the sight of a professor falling over or having a bucket of frogs dumped on their head is an amusing sight. The whole class laughed, yet he got punished for it. Unfair or what? That's Bradley's way of thinking. He'll do his best to blend into a crowd with his hands in his pockets and his back turned, but someone always eventually points him out.
He loves having a good laugh, and though he may take it too far sometimes, putting a smile on people's faces always brings one to his. He's also incredibly brave - why else would he be in Gryffindor? - and is unafraid of danger, pretty much. He'll sometimes acknowledge consequences, other times ignore them completely, but he'll always be the first one to leap headfirst into new opportunities. Of course, always being up for trying new things has its downside. God knows what would happen if he ever discovered dark magic.
He's very protective of his siblings, especially Elena, since that's who he's closest to.
Upon first meeting him, he may come across as quite cocky, but just getting to know him is the trick. Once he knows and trusts you, he'll become more bearable.
friends, acquaintances and enemies
Alexia Ackerley It turns out the secret garden isn't so secret after all, as Bradley found out when the rather tedious and brilliantly sarcastic Alexia walked in on his archery practice. They spoke for a while before heading off to Potions, and Bradley finds her interesting, but he doesn't see her as competition. Her metamorphagus-ness is pretty cool, though.
Swordplay Bradley is destined to become one of the most talented swordsmen in the country world. He's quick and proficient with the weapon, since he's been learning from a young age, and he's not a bad archer either.
Lute He's been learning the lute for a while, and Bradley isn't half bad with the instrument. He likes playing it in the corridors and by the lake, and will sometimes show off with it.
He enjoys playing pranks on his siblings, most, especially Elena.
He's got his own suit of armour which he's convinced is lucky - he hopes to enchant it to make it properly lucky, once he learns the spell.
His birthday is on April 18th.
Around amortentia, he smells melting metal and fresh air.
His boggart is public embarrassment.
He does his best not to be patronizing, as he's not that unlikable, but it's hard being clever when everyone else is average.
The Sorting Hat had to debate between Gryffindor and Slytherin when it sorted Bradley.
He's good at pickpocketing, but his brother smacks him everytime he does it.
He has a decent singing voice; nothing spectacular, but he can carry a tune, and it sometimes gets him some money.
He can scale a tree in under ten seconds flat.
