Great Hall

Great Hall

Welcome to the Great Hall. This is where many Hogwarts meals are served. The Great Hall (only on the occasion), however, may be used as a "sanctuary" if any event that harms any of the students occurs. Meals are taken here, and the sorting ceremony is held here too. Every year during the Christmas holiday season, the Great Hall is decorated with many decorated pine trees and a big one behind the staff table.

RoleplayEdit

Table OneEdit

Adrienne1
Adrienne Lisieux - Fifth Year Slytherin

-"Always outnumbered. Never outclassed."
Message Me  - 14:53, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Lamenting the loss of house tables for this one meal as she entered with Tristan, Adrienne perched herself away from the Blackburns and close to where her friend sat on the table that was overrun with the Irish. She cast a glance at her betrothed, hiding the look of distaste with an obviously fake, simpering smile and a twirl of a lock of hair around a finger.

Mildred
Mildred Blackburn - Sixth Year Slytherin

-"Don't be silly, darling. Everybody wants to be us. "
Message Me  - 15:01, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

She shot a glare at Adrienne, one which clearly read you'll never be good enough for my brother, before grinning at Sera. "Honestly, I can't believe Mama betrothed you to him anyway. Ugh, what got into her head? Was she drunk or something?"

RidleyChamberlain3

Ridley -Gryffindor Fourth Year, The Perfect Gentleman close enough

Ridley tensed at Bradley nudging him in the side, his eyes opening wider. "Hm? Yes... Probably."

Raymond1

Raymond Lisieux -Hufflepuff Fifth Year

 – 16:51, December 31, 2014 (UTC)

Raymond walks in, a bit late for food, and sits down next to Adrienne.

Table TwoEdit

Ríoghnach-1

Ríoghnach Ní Eoghain -Young Druid
"When the Sun weeps a second time, and lets fall water from his eyes..."
 02:20, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

She sat down between her siblings and her classmates, and greeted them all with a simple smile.
Caitriona2
Caitríona Ní Eoghan - Fifth Year Ravenclaw

-"Some saw the sun, some saw the smoke, some heard the gun..."
Message Me  - 12:12, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

"Haigh," She says to Fáelán and Ríoghnach as they entered, smiling.

EstherWB2
Esther Attaway - Slytherin Second Year, Seer

-"Got a secret? Better lock it in your pocket, taking this one to the grave."
Message Me  - 12:12, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

"I suppose the practical element is much better than falling asleep. Or at least I fall asleep in Ancient Studies - how many detentions have I got for sleeping now?"

Alexia 2

Alexia Ackerley -Gryffindor, Second Year • Metamorphmagus
"What you do, the way you think, makes you beautiful."
 – 21:47, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

"I've been around to see her sentence you to three, but I've never been to detention before, so I'm really not sure." she says, smiling.

Tristan 2

Tristan Maddox -Slytherin, 5th Year
"I was raised to be charming, not sincere."
 – 21:47, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Entering with Adrienne, he almost sits down at his friend's table before realizing that there were to be no houses for this meal, so he sits down at the table with his pathetic excuse for a cousin and his betrothed. To be honest, he doesn't really want to talk to either of them and sits fairly far away from the other people at the table, and remains near Adrienne so that the entire thing won't be so boring.

"She used to sentence me to more detentions for falling asleep in detention." She says with a laugh. "So you've never had a detention? Ever?"

Table ThreeEdit

Celyn
Celyn Mortimer - Seventh Year Slytherin

-"What if I lose it all? Oh, sister I will help you out..."
Message Me  - 00:12, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Celyn sits on the third table, waiting for his sister to show. He played with the hilt of his sword, which was still in his belt.

Lyle walks in, a big smile on his face. He sits down across from the kid with the sword. "What d'ya need that for?" he asks.

Isolde2
Isolde Mortimer - Third Year Gryffindor

-"Throw me to the wolves and I'll be leading the pack soon enough."
Message Me  - 14:53, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Arriving just in time to hear Seraphina's comment from the first table, she cast the older girl a glare before addressing Celyn. "Bet you're glad you got out of that one."

He glances over at Sera, a winning grin on his face. "I heard that. I'm as happy as you are, darling, because I just got out of marrying a bitch from the depths of hell." His grin becomes a smirk as he rested his hand on his chin. "I was too handsome for you anyways," he declares, before turning back to Isolde and starting to laugh. "Yeah, I'm thrilled," he says.

His eyes flicked back to the boy. "Then what d'ya need a sword for?" he asked. He pulled out his wand, still fascinated by it. "They told me this would be my new most powerful weapon if I wanted it to be."

Table FourEdit

Lily2

Maeva Fairchild -Fifth Year
"Politeness is wise."
 – 04:10, December 28, 2014 (UTC)

Seeing Charlotte eat prompted her stomach to rumble, reminding her that she had come here for breakfast, first and foremost. "You wouldn't have to, I don't think," She replied as she loaded her plate with stewed carrots and chicken. "You can use magic all you like, and he'll be none the wiser. It's not like he'll pay all that much attention, as is." Maeva wasn't known for her forethought in word choice, or her blinding optimism.

She shrugged. "I'm sort of holding out that Father might not even consider it worth his time to find me a Muggle match, and that I can find a suitable Wizarding husband. It's not as though by marrying, my Father will keep any of his money," she said.

She nodded. "My father doesn't think much of me, either," she said. "I was the miracle child gone horribly wrong," she explained with a grin on her face. "I tried to get his attention and affection as a child, but..." she shrugged. "I never got it. So I decided to stop caring. I do still hope that perhaps if I marry well, I might gain his attention in that way, but other than that, I don't worry or fret about what I can't change."
