Kamden wasn't surprised. "The Enchantresses' Revenge. And you?"

"Haven't been out on the sea in nearly twenty years," he said, shaking his head. "Miss it some, though. Probably why I work over there," he said, gesturing with his hook to the local pub. "Brush shoulders with enough seamen will make you feel like one. At least a little bit."
Kamden still had a look of utter fascination on his face, "Is that why you retired - from the sea?"

"Far from it," he said. "That was the day my father died, my hand got sliced, and I was taken aboard a pirate ship." He shook his head. "I stayed with that ship for a number of years before I decided I didn't want to sail with them anymore. We parted ways... somewhat amicably."
"During summers, I like to steal," Kamden said, holding up three coins he'd taken from the man before they'd properly started talking. Normally, he would give them back, but seeing that Emmett seemed like a decent enough man (with a rather intimidating hook), he figured he ought to.

He laughed. "Joke's on you, boy," he said. "Those are fake. I've always kept a few fake coins in my pocket, with all the pickpocketing urchins there are around here."
"Urchin!?" Kamden put the hand holding the fake-coins to his heart, feigning offense for a second, before grinning. "I suppose I am, however; born a urchin, destined to be a urchin. Age doesn't change anything."
